Complex Adaptive Systems
David Snowden
In this talk as part of Domain Driven Design Europe, Snowden covers a number of topics, including some of the key aspects of domains on the Cynefin framework, specifically how to identify them, and how to leverage them.
While this video is quite long (weighing in right around an hour), it covers numerous topics around the nature of work and the dynamics of how a particular context of the problem and the environment effect the approach that will lead to the best result.
Of particular note, he touches on the fact that all human systems are complex adaptive systems (we are not ants), and as such they cannot be formally modeled "The only accurate model of a complex adaptive system, is the system itself".
